Philip Hamilton and Friends in Vilnius Small Theatre
Philip Hamilton will present a program of jazz, blues and world music
blended together with funky and sensual rhythms. This ensemble will
perform music from Hamilton's many recordings, including Blues, Rhythm,
Rhythm and Blues: a celebration of the Blues and the American musical
landscape that it influenced, as well as old and new selections from
Hamilton's award-winning musical mind.
Hamilton's vocals evoke the grace of Nina Simone, the power of Chaka Kahn
and the creativity of Al Jarreau. This signature sound continues to move
his growing International audiences both spiritually and physically.
Hamilton has added his vocal sound to many diverse projects, including the
Pat Metheny Group, Mike Stern, Spyro Gyra, Gilberto Gil, and Ronnie Jordan
as well as the Duke Ellington Orchestra and the Boston Symphony Orchestra.
