The Last Months

A touching story of an age, solitude and love performed by outstanding theatre and cinema actor Regimantas Adomaitis.

We often suggest silence to the elderly as the supposed paradise of life. But they do not need silence, they do not need quietness! They want to be here, with us. They are driven into that silence, which holds the floundering life and prevents us from turning away. Then one realizes the value of life, starts hearing sounds in silence, seeing light in darkness. A man - doesn’t matter if at 80 or 90 years of age – is sort of reborn, experiences the most thrilling transformations, starts living different life, even more interesting than the one before. This is a miracle and triumph of human force and vitality. It was very interesting to set off on that journey together with Regimantas Adomaitis and his personage of Father – no, no, not to the nursing home – rather towards the  discovery of life.
